Kidney Beans with Bean Masala Blend

    (For two)

 

Ingredients

1 can of kidney beans or soak 1 cup of kidney beans overnight and then boil them with a little salt.  (this can be substituted with any beans)

2 medium or 1 large tomato

1 medium onion

1.5 cup water

1 Tsp oil

Cilantro leaves (finely chopped- optional)

1 Tsp of Bean Masala Blend

Salt – Bean Masala Blend has salt in it.  Add more if needed.

 

step by step recipe

Dice the tomato and onion separately (finely chopped or small pieces)

Heat the oil and add chopped onion.

Sautee the onion until it turns golden brown, add tomatoes. Let it cook for 2 minutes.

Add 1 Tsp of Beans Masala Blend. Mix it all.

Add 1.5 cup of water to it. Let it boil. (prepping the sauce)

Add the beans and let it simmer for 5- 8 minutes, until it all blends in together.

Just before serving add cilantro on top as garnish (cilantro is optional).

Enjoy with bread, naan, roti, rice.
