Garbanzo /Chickpea with Chana Masala Blend
        (For two)
 
Ingredients
1 can of garbanzo/chickpea or soak 1 cup of garbanzo overnight and then boil them with a little salt.  (this can be substituted with black eye beans, pinto beans)
2 medium or 1 large tomato
1 medium onion
4-5 garlic cloves (optional)
2 cup water
1 tablespoon oil
Cilantro leaves (finely chopped- optional)
1 tsp of Chana Masala Blend
Salt – Chana Masala Blend has salt in it. add more if needed.
 
step by step recipe
Dice the tomato and onion separately (finely chopped or small pieces)
Heat the oil and add chopped onion, garlic.
Sautee the onion until it turns golden brown, add tomatoes. Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Add 1 tsp of Chana Masala Blend. Mix it all.
Add 2 cup of water to it. Let it boil. (prepping the sauce)
Add garbanzo /chickpea and let it simmer for 5- 8 minutes, until it all blends in together.
Just before serving add cilantro on top as garnish (cilantro is optional).
Enjoy with bread, naan, roti, rice
Quantity of the spice blend can be adjusted to your taste. The quantity written in the recipe is how we cook
